 Celebrate the end of Summer by riding the lake areas around Pryor , Oklahoma on September 6th. This 2008 DAM JAM will be the 17th year for the ride! T-Shirt pick (for those who pre-registered) and registraion will be at Tom's Bicycles at 68th and S Peoria in Tulsa 4:30-7:00 Thursday September 4th, and at the Pryor Chamber 1:00-4:00 pm the same day Registration forms are available here , or at both Tom's locations and other Tulsa area bike shops. Commuter Challenge starts August 4 Bike, Bus, Buddy Up and Win! Go Green and win throughout the month of August. First, try commuting another way (bike, bus, carpool, telecommute, or compress your work week). Then log at least one trip during any week of August on the commute tracker, and you'll be entered to win a free "commuter prize pack" from Green Traveler. We'll be giving away two each week. At the end of the month, we'll draw one lucky commuter who has logged one trip every full week of August to win the grand prize - their choice of a $50 gift card for a local gas station, a $50 gift certificate to a local bike shop, or a Tulsa Transit 31-day unlimited ride pass.

There are miles of bicycle trails around Tulsa, just waiting for you and your family. Check out the River Parks for a great bike ride, or game of disc golf. You could ride to Sand Springs from downtown on the Katy Trail, or you could head out to Broken Arrow on the Creek Turnpike Trail. One of Tulsa's newest additions is the Osage Trail. It starts at the OSU-Tulsa campus just north of Archer and Greenwood, and is paved all the way to Skiatook. Check out maps of all of Tulsa's trails here . |
